Pillar Kit for Ruger American and Predator with Wood Stock or Boyds Stock

The kit contains the front and rear pillars for mounting a Boyds stock to a Ruger American rifle.  The kit also fits the Ruger Predator.  The front pillar is .25" ID x .375" OD x .2" long.  The rear pillar is .25" OD x .375" OD x .6" long.

Using the pillars will require some fitting (mainly drilling the mounting holes in the stock, and might need to cut or file the pillars to the correct length).  The thickness of the Boyds stock can vary, so customize the length of the pillars to fit your particular stock.  If unsure, installation by a qualified gunsmith is recommended.

The pillars work well with our aluminum Ruger Front Magazine Clip.  It is recommended to replace the plastic trigger guard.

Get rid of the plastic and add pillars for a good solid metal-to-metal mount!

    Ruger American - Pillar Kit

    These pillars fit perfectly in my Boyd's Ruger American stock. I drifted the stock with 3/8 bit, pillars were snug so I sanded their OD to fit. They were installed using epoxy adhesive so they protruded slightly above the surface on the interior & exterior. The bedding blocks & trigger guard fit solely on the pillars.

    The pillars are great. I roughed the outsides a little bit for a better bond. I had to file both pillars a little bit as I expected. Better too long than too short. Iinstalled the pillars last evening and bedded the v-block recoil lugs this morning. Everything lined up perfect. I recommend the pillar kit to any one that is planning on putting a Boyds stock on a Ruger American.

    With a little bit of trimming for length, they work with the rimfire action/stock too.
