Front Magazine Clip & Pillar Kit

The kit contains the Front Magazine Clip and the front and rear pillars for mounting a Boyds stock to a Savage Axis rifle.  The kit also fits the Savage Axis II XP Hardwood stock.

The Front Magazine Clip is CNC milled from 6061 aluminum and replaces the plastic front mounting clip included with a Boyds Stock.  Replacing the plastic mounting clip allows you to properly torque down the front mounting fastener.  The bottom insert on the mounting clip is removed to allow proper pillar bedding of the stock.  The front pillar is .27" ID x .375" OD x .5" long.  The rear pillar is .27" ID x .375" OD x 1" long.

Using the pillars will require some fitting (drilling the mounting holes in the stock, and cutting or filing the pillars to the correct length).  The thickness of the Boyds stock can vary, so customize the length of the pillars to fit your particular stock.  If unsure, installation by a qualified gunsmith is recommended. It is recommended to replace the plastic trigger guard. 

Get rid of the plastic and add pillars for a good solid mount!

    Worked out well for me .I love the mag clip great product . The stock ones from Boyd's are junk.

    Found this dude on you tube researching options and came here to buy it. Too many people just used the boyds plastic piece. That's dumb. V3 saved the day. I have a perfect top to bottom match rifle out of a $250 rifle and thanks the v3 I didn't have to compromise anywhere on my rifle. Please make more stuff for more guns, 1911s old military ridges etc! Thanks!

    Parts worked great! Sleeves are a bit long to allow for perfect fitting. Front screw used to get only 2 threads and now gets 4+ threads. Thanks V3!

    Amazing products, takes a little work to do an average job but rifle is a constant sub 1/4 MOA with hand loads , great products!

    The magazine clip and pillar sleeves are aofvery nice quality and we're welcome addition to my new Boyd's stock! After making the modifications and epoxying the sleeves into the stock my accuracy has once again climbed as it has with each new modification! My Savage Axis II chambered in 243 is now shooting dime-sized groups at 200 yards! Thanks to the Great people at V3 precision for their product line
